I love the beauty industry! And it’s a good thing, as I have spent most of my adult life entrenched! The time I have spent working in salons, spas, and med spas has shaped how I see and experience the world around me. I know that I KNOW true beauty comes from within, but that helping people with their image and developing meaningful relationships is where the real meaning is behind what I do.
In the Washington State, I hold Cosmetology and Esthetician licensing, and over the last 15 years my focus has been on skincare and makeup. I love the luxurious feeling of spa treatments and the results-driven treatments done in med spas. My ideal is the time I am able to spend incorporating a little bit of both worlds. I feel blessed to have worked as a medical esthetician for Dr. Robert Niedbalski, Healthy Reflections at MultiCare Covington, Esthetique – Drs. Pratt, Woodman, and Ehret, and The Med Spa – Dr. Stanley Jackson. I also have loved my time as an independent esthetician with Jerri Lien Skincare, as well as my time at The Salish Lodge and Spa.
Over 15 years ago, I was introduced to Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics and fell in love! I have used and sold them ever since. In 2008, I began doing freelance work as a makeup artist with Jane Iredale. Beautiful, healthy cosmetics that any esthetician would approve.
Writing for pleasure is something I like doing, so it made sense for me to start my own blog. A dear friend helped me come up with the name Skinblissful! I have also written for Examiner and CBS Seattle, where I needed to be a bit more formal and formatted. 😉
I love checking out new products and treatments, and my new service crush is Microblading – semi-permanent hair stroke “tattooing” of the eyebrows. I find it very rewarding to help reconstruct lost eyebrows.
