On March 22, 2013, Jennifer Solsten and Jerri Lien of The Real Beauty Team held a fundraiser for the fitness portion of Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen, part of the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization. The fundraiser was held at Meadow Springs Country Club. With the help of the Tri Cities community, and business owners across the state, The Real Beauty Team was able to surpass their goal of $500.00.
Ms. Solsten and Ms. Lien have more than 40 years combined in the beauty industry. Both are Nerium International Brand Partners, with a similar mission to that of MWOT, to build up and empower women of all ages. Scholarship pageants such as MWOT are a wonderful way for young women to gain college scholarships, poise, confidence, and a heart toward community service.
The Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen contestants are between the ages of 13 and 17. The entrance fee is $700, and each contestant must sell two ad pages. Having sponsors such as The Real Beauty Team to help offset additional cost to the contestants is much appreciated by the contestants, their families, and the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization.
The next Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen will be selected on May 26, 2013 at Highline Performing Arts Center in Renton, WA.
