In the Mood for a Mela-D? Anti-Dark Spot Concentrate

Do you have brown spots on your skin that you would like to have go away?  Hypergpigmentation (brown spots!) is a common skin complaint.  Our pigment cells can become overactive when they try and protect themselves from damage – like sun and UV exposure, and during the healing process when injury has occurred – like from a cut or even a pimple.  Once hyperpigmentation shows up, it can be a pesky problem to try and clear up  It usually takes a multi-pronged approach, of which home skincare regimens are a big part.

Recently I won the opportunity to try LaRoche Posay’s new pigment control serum, Mela-D Anti-Dark Spot Concentrate.  LaRoche Posay is a pharmaceutical-grade skincare line, which means it meets a medical level of purity and efficacy.  Pharmaceutical skincare products are in a unique niche, between professional spa-grade products and prescription products – more potent than spa products and more elegant than the typical prescription product.

Mela-D Serum contains a special blend of acids to work in multiple ways to reduce brown spots.

We are still in the heat of an Indian Summer here in Kennewick, so the Mela-D Serum was a bit strong for my face at this time.  However, I experienced some hyperpigmentation on my hands post IPL that I wanted to start working on.  I’ve been using the Mela-D serum on the backs of my hands for approximately 2 weeks now, with promising results.

The backs of my hands look brighter and more hydrated, and the dark spots are beginning to diminish.  The spots that I’m noticing the biggest improvement in are the spots that showed up post-IPL.  A little goes a long way.  Be sure and use SPF protection daily, which you need every single day already, but when you are using products with exfoliants and lighteners, you’ll want to be extra diligent.

I’m excited!  Thank you, LaRoche Posay for letting me try your new product!

Mela-D Serum Anti-Dark Spot Concentrate sells for $57.95 an ounce here in the US.
